Exposure to forms of journalistic communication and practice through student publications is the primary goal. It is designed to introduce the student to the area of journalism characterized by the collection, writing, and publication of newsworthy events. Particular emphasis will be placed on producing the college yearbook, as well as discussion of newspaper and magazine articles as to content, style, and purpose. Strong language art skills are highly recommended.
