Roman Empire in the First Century ~ HIST129
The Roman Empire during the first century A.D., including its background, political structure, religion, imperialistic expansion and control, geography, architecture, and other cultural aspects, are discussed in this study. Particular attention is paid to the Roman emperors of this era and their various philosophies of governance, social interaction, and behavior. The scope and detail of Rome's control of its subject people (including Christians and Israel) will thus be brought to light, enhancing students' understanding of the world at that time.
