The Roman Empire in the First Century ~ HIST129-07

The Roman Empire during the first century A.D., including its background, political structure, religion, imperialistic expansion and control, geography, architecture, and other cultural aspects are discussed in this study. The scope and detail of Rome's control of its subject people (including Christians and Israel) will thus be brought to light, enhancing understanding of the New Testament world. This course is preparation for an on-site visit to Rome during the spring study trip.
