Homiletics ~ MNSK321
This course will be a post-introductory course designed to further instruct the student in the fundamental principles and methodology of the construction and delivery of expositional sermons. Class time will be divided between instruction on the essential parts of a sermon and the construction of a sermon from those parts. Each student will be given instruction in the delivery of each part and its relationship to the rest of the sermon. The course will conclude with each student turning in a full expositional manuscript and then preaching one element of it to the class. After having completed both the Homiletics I and Homiletics II classes, the student will be ready to move on to the preaching workshops.
