Musical worship has always been an integral part of biblical worship from ancient Israel to the modern times. The history of worship in both the Old and the New Testaments is reviewed, as well as medieval and liturgical traditions. More recent English hymn and American gospel traditions will be studied, along with various worship philosophies.
