This page is designed to provide general information as well as some details about our plan to reopen our campus in the Fall of 2020. As is required by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Boston Baptist College will create a comprehensive reopening plan for the Fall 2020 semester.

Please note that the information on this page is subject to change as the situation surrounding the COVID-19 Pandemic is highly volatile.

understanding how covid-19 affects our students

We understand the spread of COVID-19 has affected many families & communities around the world and we have been in continual prayer for both the physical health and spiritual health of our world.

Our decision to reopen our campus has not been made lightly. After gathering information as to how COVID-19 affects our student body, we decided that our campus could reopen under a comprehensive reopening plan.

Seeing as the overwhelming majority of our campus is under the age of 29, we found these graphs and statistics gathered and organized by the CDC & Massachusetts Board of Health to be particularly helpful in our decision to reopen our campus:

general changes to our campus

  • Enhanced cleaning protocols will be regularly completed across our campus.

  • Campus-wide testing, tracing, & isolation protocols will be maintained and enforced.

  • Students and staff will have access to testing and health monitoring in conjunction with the Massachusetts Board of Health.

  • If directed by the Massachusetts Board of Health, the use of facemasks may be required.

  • Restructuring of public areas on our campus in compliance with social distancing requirements.

CHANGES TO ACADEMIC OPERATIONS

In conjunction with the CDC and the Massachusetts Board of Health, the following changes to academic operations on our campus will occur:

  • Class sizes will be limited to accommodate social distancing requirements.

  • Remote learning will be available if the need arises using the same technology utilized to complete the Spring 2020 semester.

CHANGES TO RESIDENTIAL LIFE

In conjunction with the CDC and the Massachusetts Board of Health, the following changes to residential life on our campus will occur:

  • All dormitories will be single-occupancy only. All single-occupancy dormitories will be discounted from $3,000.00 to $2,150.00.
